Ludovico Einaudi, born in Turin on November 23, 1955, is a distinguished pianist and composer whose musical journey began with early exposure to music through his mother, an amateur pianist. He studied at the Conservatories of Turin and Milan, under the guidance of Azio Corghi and Luciano Berio, and further honed his craft with Karlheinz Stockhausen. His career took off in the 1980s, with notable works for ballet, theater, and cinema. In 1996, his solo album Le Onde, inspired by Virginia Woolf’s novel, captured the attention of the classical music world, and his subsequent works, such as Eden Roc (1999) and I Giorni(2001), continued to gain acclaim. Einaudi's soundtracks for films such as Doctor Zhivago (2002) and The Untouchables (2011) solidified his reputation, while his performances in iconic venues like La Scala and the Royal Albert Hall marked milestones in his artistic career. Albums like Divenire (2006) and Nightbook (2009) saw him expanding his music into new realms, including collaborations with other musicians and orchestras.
